How to Show Instagram Reels on a Framer Website
When to use a single Reel or live feed, how to choose a layout, and what to check for playback and mobile visitors.
One Reel or a feed that keeps changing?
If a page needs one particular campaign Reel, embed or upload that specific piece of media with the permission and controls it needs. If the page should continue showing recent Instagram content as you post, use a live feed. RevuKit’s Instagram Feed plugin for Framer supports public profile posts, including video and Reel posts, alongside photos and multi-image posts.
A live feed is tied to the public account, so it is better for a creator homepage, studio portfolio or campaign landing page that benefits from fresh visual work. It is not an automatic Reels-only channel selector. If every item must be a Reel in a fixed sequence, plan a curated video section instead.

Connect the public Instagram account in Framer
Install RevuKit Instagram Feed in your Framer project and choose “Use my Instagram.” Enter the public handle or profile URL and inspect the returned posts. Check that the Reel you expect is visible and that its cover makes sense in the surrounding layout.
The browser demo uses sample content and cannot show a private account. If the profile or Reel is not public, the plugin cannot turn it into website content. For client work, confirm that you are authorised to display the account’s media on the site.
Choose a layout that gives video enough room
Grid puts several covers in view and works when Reels support a broader gallery. Carousel focuses attention on one item at a time and keeps the section compact. Gallery wall respects mixed media shapes, which can be useful when vertical Reels sit next to portrait photography. Profile helps when the creator identity matters as much as the video.
Try these in the demo, then test with the actual account in the Framer plugin. A tall video that looks right in a wide editor panel can feel cramped on a phone. Leave enough space for the main site action and avoid making visitors watch a video to understand the offer.

Test playback, sound and opening the original post
Open a video post in the feed and check playback on desktop and mobile. Browsers commonly restrict autoplay with sound, so do not make important information depend on unmuted autoplay. Include useful page copy near the feed, and test whether controls and links remain usable with keyboard and touch input.
A Reel cover and the video itself are different assets. Check both the first visible cover and the open-post experience. Also verify that “View on Instagram” reaches the intended original post instead of relying on a sample link from the browser demo.

Publish and measure the page, not just the video
Add the component to the canvas, complete any plan or sign-in steps, and publish the Framer page. Open the published URL in a fresh session. Confirm that the video loads on a normal connection, does not shift the primary content unexpectedly, and does not compete with the main call to action.
Watch whether visitors continue to the page’s main goal after seeing the feed. A high Reel play count alone does not show that the section helped bookings, enquiries or sales. If organic search for the Reel’s topic matters, write useful HTML copy on the page; the moving media is supporting evidence.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can the RevuKit plugin show Instagram Reels?
Yes. It supports public Instagram video and Reel posts in the feed and post popup. Check the actual account and published page before relying on a particular video.
Can I make an automatically updating Reels-only feed?
The current plugin connects a public profile and does not offer an automatic Reels-only filter. Use a curated video section if every item must be a Reel.
Will a Reel autoplay with sound?
Do not assume so. Browsers often block unmuted autoplay. Test playback and sound controls on the devices your visitors use.
Is a single Reel embed the same as a live feed?
No. A single embed stays tied to one post. A live feed displays synced posts from a public account as that account changes.
