Framer Instagram Feed Not Updating? A Practical Troubleshooting Guide
Find out why a Framer Instagram feed shows old posts, the wrong account, missing media or a broken published component.
First, identify which feed you are looking at
The browser demo shows sample businesses and sample posts. It is a design preview, so it will never show your account’s new Reel or photo. Your account appears only after you connect its public handle inside the Framer plugin and add the live component to the canvas.
If the problem is on your published site, record the page URL, account handle, the missing post URL or date, and whether the plugin preview shows the post. Those details separate a profile or sync issue from a problem on the published page.

The wrong posts appear: check the public profile
Open the Instagram profile directly and confirm the exact public @handle. Client projects often have several similar handles or a renamed account. Compare it with the account shown in the plugin preview. A typo or old handle can make a working feed look broken.
A private profile cannot be fetched as a public feed. If a specific post was removed, archived or made unavailable, it may also disappear from later syncs. Do not assume a published component can restore media that is no longer publicly available at its source.
A new post is missing: allow for the sync schedule
A live feed is automatically updated, but that does not mean every Instagram post appears on your website immediately. Check the refresh interval for your current RevuKit plan, then compare the new post time with the last successful feed update. Avoid repeatedly republishing the Framer page just to force a content refresh; the published component loads synced data from RevuKit.
If the expected refresh window has passed and both the plugin preview and published site still show old posts, collect the feed details and contact support. Include the handle and post URL so the source and sync path can be checked.

The plugin preview works but the published page does not
Confirm that the feed component was actually added to the intended Framer page and that the project was published after placement or design changes. Open the published URL rather than relying only on the editor canvas. Try a fresh browser session to separate a local preview state from the public page.
If an older inserted component does not expose a newer layout or control, edit or replace it from the current plugin version, then publish the project. The feed needs RevuKit’s runtime service on the published page; browser privacy tools or network failures can also prevent media from loading. Record the exact symptom before changing several settings at once.

A post appears but its image or video is missing
Check a second post to learn whether the issue affects one media item or the whole feed. If the account and captions load but a cover does not, the media may be temporarily unavailable or its source URL may have expired. RevuKit proxies public Instagram media, so share the specific post URL and a screenshot with support instead of repeatedly reconnecting the account.
For a Reel, test the cover and video separately on a phone and desktop browser. Autoplay with sound is restricted by many browsers, and a video that waits for a user gesture is not the same as a failed feed. Use the post popup and controls to verify the actual behavior.

What to send support when the feed is still stale
Send the published Framer page URL, the public Instagram handle, an example missing post URL, when it was posted, and whether the plugin preview is current. Include your browser and device, a screenshot or short recording, and any error shown by the plugin. Do not send an Instagram password.
That evidence lets support test the right layer: source visibility, account selection, sync, component version or media delivery. Keep the existing feed in place while the cause is investigated unless support asks for a specific change.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does the RevuKit browser demo show different posts from my Instagram?
The browser demo intentionally uses sample content. Connect your public account inside the Framer plugin to preview your own posts.
Should I republish Framer when I post on Instagram?
No. New Instagram posts are loaded from RevuKit’s synced feed by the published component. Publishing is still needed for changes to the Framer page or component design.
How long should a new post take to appear?
It depends on your current plan’s refresh schedule and the last successful sync. Check the live pricing details and contact support if that interval has passed.
What if the account is private?
Private accounts cannot be fetched as public Instagram feeds. Use a public profile if you want its posts displayed through this plugin.
